The Sean Treacy Memorial Swimming Pool in Tipperary Town is offering lifeguard and swim instructor certification courses this summer, addressing the growing need for professionally trained pool staff. The training is delivered in association with Water Safety Ireland and meets national standards for aquatic safety and instruction.

  • Assistant Swimming Teacher Course

  • Full Swimming Teacher Course

? Entry Requirements

  • Minimum Age:

    • Lifeguard Course: 16+

    • Teacher Courses: 18+

  • Swimming Proficiency:

    • Swim 100 meters (front and back)

    • Swim 50 meters in under 60 seconds

    • Surface dive to a depth of at least 1.5 meters
