Another key evolution is the Annexure Certificate. Many MSMEs need this certificate while applying for loans, subsidies, and schemes like CGTMSE or interest subsidies.

Now, the Udyam portal allows businesses to download the Annexure Certificate directly from their profile. This downloadable PDF contains verified details of the business and acts as a valid identity when approaching banks or government departments.

Linkage with Government e-Marketplace (GeM)

The Udyam portal now allows direct linking with the GeM portal, where MSMEs can sell their goods and services to government departments.

This integration makes it easier for registered MSMEs to access bulk government procurement opportunities without middlemen or lengthy approvals. It also increases their visibility and revenue streams.

Mobile-Friendly Experience

Earlier, the Udyam Registration Portal was made for desktop use. But in 2024, a mobile-responsive version of the Udyam Portal was launched, which has become even more accessible to users who have smartphones and are in low-bandwidth areas. Many users live in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, and they basically rely on mobiles, so due to this change, the reach of the portal has become even greater.
